White? Black? Where? I don’t see black on our skin. Or white.  Our nails are white, and our eyes have both colors.  But not our skin.  Why are we called these things?   These thoughts run through the confused minds of innocent children every day.  Most don’t understand how the politically incorrect speech affecting modern day people hurts, until it affects them or their children.  The solution seems so simple; stop people from saying things that they know to be offensive.  With so many people as obstacles, it seems impossible to most.  The next generation, however, can be saved from this constantly mocked life.

He’s role model, a fearless leader, and a protector. One of the most important people in a daughter’s life is so much more than just a father. How he raises her, however, is entirely based on his own childhood. David Paul Matusiak is a great father and husband. However, the gratifying life he now lives isn’t relative to the life he new as a child.(great intro)

On October 12, 1966, a baby boy, David Matusiak, entered the world. For three years, Dave experienced (this sounds awkward...find a synonym that works better) Fall River, Massachusetts as his hometown. His short-lived life along the east coast ended when he moved to California with his older brother and two sisters. His parents were Lori and Ron Matusiak. They split, however, when Dave was in only seventh grade. How did this divorce affect him as a boy, husband, and father? His childhood consisted of many sports and friends that he still has today. How did sports affect him? Being the youngest, he also received pranks from his siblings and advice from elders that stuck with him throughout his life. How did this change his life? One piece of advice went to his heart, and is what he is known for: no pain, no gain. This proved beneficial throughout his adolescent years. (This is a great paragraph, but you must include direct quotes from your dad)

Needs a transition...for example: Not only did his childhood shape who he is today, but his teenage years had a great impact on him as well. Though he frequently fought, and was too conceited, Dave excelled at most things he tried, especially in high school. Granite Hills High School was home to all of the Matusiaks in Dave’s generation, and all passed. One of his daughters already graduated from Granite, while another plans to attend in 2011. A young Ron Lachien, who would stay loyal to him for years and years to come, accompanied him during his high school days. Together, they caused all kinds of trouble for the teachers and staff to deal with. Though a troublemaker, Dave’s natural talents shone onto the athletic field. He pursued school sports and motocross, but never beyond recreational purposes. The choices he made with sports would go on to be some of his greatest failures. What impact did this have on him? They did, however, lead him to meet a beautiful young woman in his early adult years. Need quotes...
