What really set it off for me was when he went along with the song in the beginning. I loved how he was saying his own thing and then would match it up with song. I also liked how he had a lot of emotion put into it when he was telling the stories and going along with the song. It was a really inspirational talk(:
i found it interesting that he knows kids so well. his book really got me because i have a relative in Iraq... my cousin... and i really hope that his name never pops up in the news.
He was great. He was reallly funny, and cool and "hip" with his "ganster" attitude! hahahaha. But yeah, it's cool how he became a write, and is all singing. He needs to try out for American Idol.
It inspired me that he wrote from his heart and wrote what he wanted and not what anyone else wanted him to. I also liked how he spoke through Maddie when he was reading us the book.
I found it interesting how he talked while music was playing and it inspired me how he talked about life and teaching the ideas and ways of life to kids.
I found it interesting how he could do that thing with the songs during his presentation. He inspired me by being so open about everything and sharing his story on his life and about his book.
I like how in his book he put real life situations to connect more to the readers. I also like how well he knew the kids he taught. I think what he does with the music is interesting.
I liked how he talk with the music and taught through that method. He was really cool and outgoing. He was really into his characters when reading the prologue. It inspired me to write a book for a moment and that we are kids and shouldn't have to worry. We have time to loose..
I really liked the way he related to us and made it interesting by talking with a song. His speech really showed me how life and school can be different and how anything can go your way if you want it to. He had so much emotion and I could tell he was attached to his book and put a lot of heart into it. It was a inspiring speech... inspiring and different. :)
I think it was interesting how he incorporated learning in a more fun and creative way. I also liked that he used some of his past students lives and experiences that happened to them because it shows what happens in some of the real lives in teenagers. I also like how he was unique.
I found it interesting that in his book he captured the lives of teenagers. It seems that he understands what its like, and his characters are so relatable. He also inspired me by saying that life can blow anyway you want it to, and that you can make things happen to yourself; to reach for the stars.
I found it interesting that he combined some of his students to create the characters in his book. He also did a good job of capturing issues from a teens point of view.
I like how he said he entered his own world based on what he was writing, because I'm thinking of writing a story of my own and thats how I am when i think about what to write. i liked how he tried to relate to kids and how he wrote his story based around his own class.
I thought it was cool how he related the book to real life. He was pretty understanding about the teens he used in the book too. And i think its fun to relate the characters to yourself, and people you know. It seemed like he really wanted us to learn from it:)
I loved the way he presented overall. It was funn and interesting to hear how he connected the book to real life and added some of the stories from his teaching career along with the characters being based on a few students that he'd taught. (: thumbs up!!(:
His freedom of speaking, and the way he totally copied The Dead Poets Society, he even said carpe diem. I also liked how he talked while playing music
ReplyDeleteHe inspired me when he spoke about how life can go whatever way you want and drama can just roll on and die down.
