    His writings influenced Voltaire and Rousseau, and many Scottish Enlightenment thinkers. His impact on the US government was the understanding of politics, religion, economy, and also people.

    Impact- noted for separation of power; wanted all to prosper; retold the teachings of other philosophers and mathematicians; constitutionalism, political system and bureaucracy; wanted to bring in legislative power.

He revised the teachings of Thomas Hobbes and Niccolo Machiavelli. He was also known for his legislative power, and the development of modern executive.

His most remembered ideas were the consideration of separation of powers and the ideas about property as the basis for prosperity. He came up with the idea of liberal democracy. Locke really put emphasis on the part of the constitution where it talks about the relationship between political system and bureaucracy .
