Patricia Ann Gold
Change, to most people, isn't a preferable thing, but to Patricia, changing things up was the key to making everything exciting. Patricia Ann Leonetti Gold was born on January 15th, 1956 in Sacramento, California. She grew up ambitious, creative, and inspired to do just about anything that she really wanted to. Her parents, Barbara and John Leonetti, supported her in whatever direction she chose to forgo and later in her life, so did her husband Troy Gold. She believed that life was an adventure in itself and that she'd eventually find her spot in this world. Little did she know that her future held tons of career paths, new experiences, and even a humbling accomplishment.
One career just didn't suit Patricia. "I always liked to try out different jobs just to have the experience of being in that career path. Some were great, but others were really horrible," she shared. Some people would say that not settling down with one career is a sign of a quitter, but everyone who is close to Patricia knows that quitting is just not one of the things that she does. Trying out different jobs just gave her a little bit of experience in each career and oddly enough, she enjoyed the work. "My favorite job," she said, " would have to be working at the local grocery store's bakery. It sounds kind of silly but I discovered that the culinary career might have been something that I wanted to pursue." If she would not have changed her career, she would never have had these experiences. So in the end her decisions to switch between careers caused her to quit her job at the bakery, which she was really passionate about.
When Patricia wasn't switching jobs, she loved to travel to different places. "Traveling, for me, is so much fun. Getting to see how unique the cities are in other countries was amazing," she said. After seeing all the beautiful buildings of Sicily, it made her curious about what else was out there. She didn't even know where to start. "I can't wait to get another experience like that." she shared, "Traveling to Rome or Paris would be an extraordinary place to start." Her trip to Sicily was definitely memorable. She was overjoyed throughout the whole trip and not a single minute was wasted.
With a vacation abroad and many, many jobs, it would seem that Patricia's greatest accomplishment would be something really crazy or significant, but it's actually surprisingly simple. "My greatest accomplishment, I'd say, is forgiving the people who have done me wrong." she stated. Her answer was uncommon compared to the usual winning an award or conquering a fear. This response would make anyone contemplate their greatest accomplishment."I think," she said, " that it is my greatest accomplishment because sometimes it's really hard to forgive and then forget." Lots of people would strongly agree with her. It is sometimes extremely hard to forgive but doing it is an accomplishment internally.
Patricia Ann Leonetti Gold was born in Sacramento, California on January 15th, 1956. She grew up talented, ambitious and was supported by her mom, Barbara Leonetti, and her dad, John Leonetti whom is now deceased. She married later in her life to Troy Gold and helped raise her two step-sons. She has remained living around Sacramento her entire life, or at least for now. She has had plenty of experiences, both good and bad, working tons of different kinds of jobs and even traveling across seas. Her greatest accomplishment, though surprising, really reflected who she is and showed her deep level of thinking. It would be a mistake to not get to know her because she is truly a terrific person.

James W. Plummer Biography - Kylee (:

Imagine having a job so secretive that you couldn’t even tell your spouse about it. James W. Plummer was given the job of Lockheed Corporation’s program manager for the satellite Corona. This satellite was used to spy on the Russians, after they had told America that they were going to blow us up. He had many failures, and many successes, which have all molded him into the humble and auspicious man he is today.
On January 30, 1920, James W. Plummer was born to Edwin Leroy Plummer and Mary Halliday-Plummer in a little gold mining town of Idaho Springs, Colorado, high in the Rocky Mountains. He was the middle child, with his older brother Roy, and younger brother Robert. After the mine where James’ father had worked as a machinist closed, he took his family to southern California. There, James and his brothers, grew up. All three brothers had always been interested in designing and building. They were all very inspired, also, by their Uncle George, who was an outstanding civil engineer with many honors. After James’s older brother, Roy, graduated and got his degree in electrical engineering from Berkeley, James and his younger brother Bob followed in his footsteps. While James and Robert were working toward their degrees, all three brothers also entered World War II. “My role in WWII, flying off a carrier, was certainly an experience, but not one I would choose. Wars are not good. But all three of us brothers came back alive, with experience that would help us in life.”

After the war, James began working in the field of Engineering, and was responsible for designing and manufacturing military satellites for Lockheed Corporation. During the Cold War with Russia,Government leaders had been demanding solid information on Russia’s military strike power after Russia told us that they had nuclear bombs to destroy the USA. No one knew if this was true or not. Engineers at Lockheed won the Air Force competition to design and build a satellite system capable of detecting aircraft and missile activities by Russians. President Eisenhower needed a quicker way to see what the Russians were doing. “That was CORONA, and I was the responsible contractor."

“The very early days of Corona were the hardest,” James Plummer quotes. He was given only nine months to design, build and launch their first attempt. Along the way many mistakes were made. "When one tries to do things he will certainly make mistakes. However, mistakes in design lead to revisions which succeed. This is true for all of life." James worked long and hard on this project, and he and his team were ready for Corona's first launch by the time the nine months were over. They had many problems with the net space design element, but were, in the end, eventually successful. Besides the Corona program, James Plummer served as Under Secretary of the U.S. Air Force, Director of the National Reconnaissance Office, Vice President of Lockheed Corporation, and as Chairman of The Aerospace Corporation. He was designated as a Space and Missile Pioneer by the U.S. Air Force in 1989 and was honored by the Director of Central Intelligence as a Corona Pioneer in 1995. In 2005, He became a recipient of the Charles Stark Draper Prize, for the " design, development, and operation of Corona, the first space-based Earth observation system."

James W. Plummer is the perfect example of a man that works hard and learns from mistakes. He was extremely hard working, and has a strong passion for engineering, which led him to being an important part of a significant job for President Eisenhower and the USA.

Leland Jones, a Written History

We are lucky to have so many people that are brave enough to put their lives on the line to defend our country. Leland spent one year training in the U.S, Coastguard Academy in Connecticut. He was born on July 7, 1964 in Tucson, AZ. His parents, Dick and Diane Jones are both currently living in Benson, Arizona. They must be so proud of him. The Coast Guard Academy is a hard school to get into, and the year he spent there greatly affected his life.

Before Leland Richard Jones applied for the U.S. Coastguard Academy, he attended Benson Union high school for four years. Leland was on sports teams, had lots of extracurricular activities, and had exceptional SAT scores. He graduated high school with honors and an acceptance letter to the school. “There were three thousand applicants my freshman year, and I was one of the lucky three hundred that were selected.” (Leland Jones) That summer he worked at home, helping his parents finish building a boat, that they would sail from Long Beach, to San Diego, California. “I truly enjoyed working on that boat with my dad for four years. It brought us much closer than we already were.” (Leland Jones) Leland might have thought he had an exciting life before, but it was just going to get better.

Leland first arrived at the school in June. He started with eight weeks of physical training, in which they woke up at five every morning and lights out was at nine-thirty. Before the school year actually started, he and his classmates took a ten-day cruise on The Eagle. “As summer came to an end, I felt sad. However I was also relieved that classes were to start soon.” (Leland JOnes) In August, the college classes began at the Academy, along with the physical training. He was a diver on their swim team, and held the record time for the obstacle course. Leland was only a freshman, so he probably wasn't the most popular person; upperclassmen had the freshman clean their rooms and were harsh while inspecting other peoples' dorms to make sure they were neat. They knew that someone's bed was not made properly if they could not bounce a quarter on it. “Maybe that's why I feel it's important to make sure my kids' beds are made and their rooms are clean every day.” (Leland Jones) Leland loved being at that school, but did not want to serve the five years required in the Coastguard if he graduated. He resigned after his freshman year, to move on and find a new carreer.

Being in the Coast Guard Academy really changed Leland's life. Not only was he in better physical shape but, “I gained more self-confidence, and met and became friends with people from all over the world.” (Leland Jones) For the restof his college years, Leland attended Northern Arizonia University in Flagstaff. There, he majored in Civil Engineering and Geology. While at NAU, Leland started dating Stephanie Ann Konen. They had met at the community pool in Benson, where they both had summer jobs as lifeguards. After dating for three years, Leland moved out to San Diego, and Stephanie transferred from U of A to SDSU so they could get married. Twenty two years later, here they are. Old, and not so wrinkely, with two wonderful daughters. “If I had to name the three happiest days of my life, they would be this: one, when I bent down on one knee and heard he say 'Yes!' two, when our first (and favorite) child was born, Alexa Rae. Three, when steph gave life to our second (and hopefully last) daughter, Sydney Michelle. My life is definitely not perfect, (especially now that my oldest is a teenager with an innummerable amounts of needs) but I wouldn't change it for the world.” (Leland Jones)

Leland Jones may not have served in the actual coastguard but being in the coastguard academy changed his life for the better. Instead of an officer in the Navy, he turned out to be a blasting consultant with his own buisness, a great husband and the best fafther in the world. He, as many people would, says, “I'm the luckiest guy in the whole world.” (Leland Jones)

Enlightenment

Great joy always has a price to pay. A perfect example would be Traci Roberts’ life. Traci was born in June 15, 1964. She was born in Montclair California and into a small family with one sister, Kim, and two loving parents, Donna and Steve. Mrs. Roberts has had a tough childhood, but from that childhood she has learned a lot.

At 11 years of age Traci experienced one of the most frightening time of her life. As she was driving home, at about 4:00 to 5:00, she, Kim, and her mom were heading up their large street. She noticed police cars, ambulances, and huge fire engines. “My dad was working on the roof and I thought he had fallen off.” She was nervous just thinking of it. Approaching the house, the police stopped her mom’s car. Donna told the police it was their home and the police let them through. The sirens flashed in their eyes as she found out that 4 boys had died. They had been partying and drinking up the hill where there was a cul-de-sac. As they were carelessly driving back home, the driver crashed in my mom’s front yard. He was decapitated. 2 other boys were flown in the bushes and under my grandpa’s car. When he was flown under the automobile, he managed to survive but sadly died in the back of the ambulance. The last person past away in the back of the car. I have been told time and time again how freaky it was for her to walk outside her front door, “ I was a little queasy walking outside knowing 4 people had died here.” This taught her that foolish things could change your life forever. At least for those boys it did. Although this could have changed her life forever in a bad way, she did have a very enjoyable life.

Traci and Kim were always finding some way to have fun. They would play hide and seek alone, dolls, and other silly games they would make up. They even played the grape game, it was a made up game. You would hide anywhere you want and then the person who tags would try to find you. “You would know you were found because grapes would be dangled in front of your face” replied Traci. They also lived with a lot of smelly animals. Her favorite was their old donkey Mr. Pedley. “It was a real treat to ride him.” Says Traci. Her dad would lead her around on a rope in circles. She didn’t get to ride him much because her sister got bucked off of him and her broke her arm. Her favorite possessions as a child were her blanket, Blankey, and her doll Chi Chi. Experiences in her childhood have helped her become the wonderful person she is today. Traci has raised 6 loving children with her husband Tom. She loves them more than anything else. “My kids are definitely my biggest success.” So far her 2 oldest have left, Calvin and Cameron, to college. Her oldest daughter, Kjersti, is now a junior at Granite Hills High School. Blake and Annika both go to Joan MacQueen Middle School. Last but certainly not least, McKay, who is 8, goes to Boulder Oaks Elementary School. “Even though they make me angry at times I still love them.” All the time her kids make her angry and she is always patient, most of the time. She is very compassionate towards her children and loves them a lot.

Traci has had a tough life, but from it she has learned everything she needs to know about becoming a strong and great women. From thinking her dad was dead, to having fun at home, she has become smart towards making a great family for her children.

One in a Million!

Dreams may not always come true, but that might mean a better path has been taken. Kevin Michael Desmond’s life is a brilliant example of this. Born March 16, 1964 to Jackie and Les Desmond, Kevin grew up as a frivolous and athletic kid in Santee, California. Although he had many achievements, Mr. Desmond’s most capacious, would most likely be the major league baseball draft of 1982.

As a child, Kevin spent a lot of his time playing baseball. He and his friends would play from morning until dinnertime, almost everyday. “My childhood was a lot like the movie The Sandlot.” Which is essentially about small-town boys who amour the game and play no-matter what the weather or time of day, of course, there is a voluminous adventure thrown in between. Unlike most young boys, Kevin found his calling and knew what he wanted to do with the rest of his life at about the age of ten. “I had been in little league for two years and I really liked it.” Most people would say that all 10-year-old boys want to be baseball players when they grow up, but how many have actually pursued that dream? From that moment on, Kevin worked exorbitantly hard and practiced almost everyday. “I was not a natural at all, I had to work really hard to be good.” Kevin stated when asked if he was always recherché at baseball. Finally, all of his hard work was about to pay off.

“I was 17 years old, 1982.” The Boston Red Sox were picking a few felicitous young men to play for their minor league team and eventually, if efficacious, the majors. The time was now, after over 9 years of little league, high school teams, and hours of daily practice, Kevin would finally know if his efforts were expedient. Then it was announced, 100’s of thousands of people across the nation competing against him, and he was a chosen one! “I was excited! All of my hard work was paying off!” Kevin had done it! He had followed his dreams and triumphed in the end.

After the perplexing day, Mr. Desmond spent all of his time practicing and working rigorously. However, two weeks later, this strenuous endeavor proved too much for him. “During a championship tournament, I did a headfirst dive on a base and dislocated my shoulder” He was in great pain and knew something was wrong. “I felt disappointed, and I was worried that my career could be over.” Long months and many surgeries later, Kevin’s shoulder was healed but not completely. He was no longer able to play on the Red Sox minor league team. There was no guarantee that he would’ve played for the major league team, but he wishes that he could have had a chance. Although, he says he is happy with the way his life turned out and wouldn’t change it.

In conclusion, Kevin Desmond’s life was filled with adventure! Even though it didn’t go exactly the way he planned, this man has had a fulfilling life and has learned a lot. “The major league baseball draft of 1982 was an achievement, but not my biggest or the one I’m most proud of.” Born March 16, 1964 to Jackie and Les Desmond, this Santee boy became a wonderful man who influences and inspires everyone around him.

Karen Kay Baux Vilett Biography

Even though being a successful nurse is important, being a mother is much more influential. Karen Kay Baux Vilett, born on July 7, 1960 in Maryland, is a hard-working, loving mom with two kids. Growing up her parents, always led her to the right path and now she is following in their footsteps. Karen’s memorable childhood, teenage, and adult years were very unique and interesting.

Karen Kay Baux Vilett was born on the east coast, in Maryland, of the year 1960. Her mother, Olga Baux, did not work or drive throughout her life, but her father, Clarice Baux, did both. “I ended up riding my bike everywhere, including school,” said Karen. Since, there was a lack of transportation, especially to sports, she never got to pursue her passion of track and field. “I couldn’t get there so today I make a big effort to let my children, Nicholas and Kristen, do what they want to do.” Growing up she had lots of chores and was always focused in school. She never went to Kindergarten, but she did attend a Catholic school named St. Pius, grades one through eight. In ninth grade she went to Benjamin Tasker Junior High and in tenth through twelfth grade she went to Bowie High School and was Valedictorian. “Throughout high school, I wanted to take a career in nursing, so I took an Assistant Program at Laurel HS,” said Karen. She received her nursing degree and Bachelor’s degree. Karen said, “I transferred to the University of San Diego and got my Master’s degree to become a nurse. I was a very good student.” Since Karen was very intelligent and knowledgeable in school, she carried those traits along and still is very hard-working today. Even though she was so focused on school, her family also went on several family trips.

On Karen’s memorable 13th Birthday she traveled to the exciting state of California. “I had a birthday cake on the plane and saw Kenney Rogers at a concert at Magic Mountain.” Her family also journeyed to the stunning islands of Hawaii to vacation numeral times. “Hawaii is so beautiful. I wish I could stay there forever,” quoted by Karen. Now a day, she travels to the water landmasses with her amazing husband and two wonderful children, Nicholas and Kristen.

Karen Kay Baux was married to her lovely husband, Peter Alan Vilett on August 21, 1993. The charming wedding took place at the Saint Brigid Catholic Church. After a few years of getting wedded and married, the couple had their first child, Nicholas Tyler Vilett, on January 2, 1995. Nicholas, otherwise known as Nick, was a very nice and ideal son. Following the birth of Nick, Karen and Peter decided that one child just wasn’t enough. The pair had their second child on July 16, 1997. Her name was Kristen Nicole Vilett. “I am the luckiest mom in the world. I have two smart, talented, beautiful children and I couldn’t ask for anything more than that,” stated Karen. Shortly after Kristen was born, a medical occurrence struck.

Karen Kay Vilett was diagnosed with a brain tumor and had to proceed into a major surgery. During this tragic time, Peter was very supportive and was by her side the whole time. After the operation was finished and completed, Karen’s doctors revealed that they cleared out as much as they could. Karen and her family thought that everything was fine, but little did they know it was growing back. Karen advanced into a second major brain surgery in the year 2009 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. “My biggest challenge in life was having two brain surgeries.” While Karen and her husband, Peter were in Pittsburgh for the surgery, her two worried children had to stay back at home. After the many days of anticipation, Nicholas and Kristen received an important phone call from their father. “Everything is okay,” said Peter. Those were the most comforting words in the world for Nicholas and Kristen. After the eventful year had passed Karen was healthy and strong.

To this day, Karen Vilett is doing extremely well and continues to do so. “You would have never guessed that I had a major brain surgery last year,” said Karen happily. Every single morning, she stays in shape by walking her amazing Golden Retriever dog, Kona. “I have been through a lot of tough life experiences as a nurse and through health, but it was all worth it because now I have a strong and healthy life and family.” said Karen.

Karen Kay Baux Vilett, born on July 7 in the year of 1960 had a very unique childhood, hard-working teenage years, and major eventful adult years. She achieved an enormous bundle of accomplishments as a nurse and learned how to take care of her family and herself even through the hard times. Karen was and still is an amazing woman, friend, and mother. She had and still has an amazing life and is definitely looked up to.

The Life Story of Myrna Mora

Good things can come out of a bad situation. At the age of only 21, sheMyrna was in a life changing car accident that left her paralyzed from the waist down. Before this event, she led a normal life, with her two brothers and family. On December 9, 1951, Myrna Eliza Mora was born in San Diego, CA, byto Beatriz and Enrique Mora. She began her adventure we all call life in North Park, CA, as the middle daughter of two brothers, Enrique and Carlos. Myrna started her education at McKinley Elementary School. You don't need this hear. Myrna’s life before the accident, the experience of the accident, and her life following it has given her many life lessons and experiences.

Also, she had to do many, many hours of physical therapy to make her body strong again. This incident has caused her to be wheelchair bound for the rest of her life. After her year was up, she got to go home, but still had to continue the physical therapy to keep her in tiptop shape. As for a job, she did a lot of volunteer work for the hospital she was in. Biography

On July 21, 1969, the first person stepped onto the moon. This was a worldwide event, and three days later in La Mesa, Kathleen Ramsey was born.

She had one sister, Lori, and a mother and a father. Her mom, Barbara, stayed at home, taking care of the kids, while her dad, Richard, was a Teletype Repairman. At night, when Richard got home, Barbara went to night school, trying to become a teacher.

Kathy went to a school that had kindergarten through eighth grade. When she got to sixth grade, she was so excited because she finally got a locker. There was a lot of peer pressure for what clothes or brands you wore, and even who you hung out with.

Her first job was at Round Table. She cleaned up the tables restocked the saltshakers after closing hours. She soon got fired because of some other kids having a party and making a mess. After that she got a job at Wendy’s.

San Diego State University was her Alma Mater. She graduated as a Magna cum Laude, with a Liberal Studies degree. Then she became a teacher, teaching preschool kids.

Now she is a stay at home mom, married to Troy Neuenswander, and has three kids. Kathy likes to go to her kid’s sports and activities, watch movies, read, take pictures, and spend time with her family.

2nd body paragraph

Although Susan Daoust's childhood wasn't as easy as she would have liked, she learned how to parent her own kids the way she felt was best. She says her children are her best achievement. “My two daughters, Codi 15, and Briana 13, are my greatest achievement. They have grown up to be very well raised young ladies. Codi is a junior at Steele Canyon High School. She is very active in her school and does two A.P. Classes, history and English. She does advanced dance, dance team, water polo, swim, Her other daughter, Briana, is 13 and is in 8th grade at Joan MacQueen High School. She plays club soccer for F.C. Sockers in Rancho Bernardo, and is coached by former Socker, Brian Quinn. She does a gymnastics class at Gym Trix in Alpine, and a tennis class in Alpine. She is going for completing top runner all 3 years at her school, and is in the two advanced classes there.” Her schedule is very hectic, but she still makes time to give her children the love that they need.

Hamsters are rodents belonging to the subfamily Cricetinae. The subfamily contains about 25 species, classified in six or seven genera.[1]

Hamsters are crepuscular. In the wild, they burrow underground in the daylight to avoid being caught by predators. Their diet contains a variety of foods, including dried food, berries, nuts, fresh fruits and vegetables. In the wild they feed primarily on seeds, fruits and greens, and will occasionally eat burrowing insects.[2] They have elongated fur-lined pouches on both sides of their heads that extend to their shoulders, which they stuff full of food to be stored, brought back to the colony or to be eaten later.

Although the Golden Hamster (Mesocricetus auratus) was first described scientifically in 1839, it was not until 1930 that researchers were able to successfully breed and domesticate hamsters.[3] Pet Syrian hamsters are descended from hamsters first found and captured in Syria by zoologist Israel Aharoni.[4]

Hamster behavior can vary depending on their environment, genetics, and interaction with people. Because they are easy to breed in captivity, hamsters are often used aslab animals in more economically developed countries. Hamsters have also become established as popular small house pets.[3]

This is the real Murshaq.

A Life of Adventure!

Who knew that a young boy growing up in Downey, LA could have the opportunity of a lifetime?  Imagine being picked out of 75,000 people to be able to participate on one of the most popular game shows on television.  Dana Logsdon was lucky enough to be a contestant on the show Wipeout. He was so exited when he got the call.  After all Wipeout is one of his all-time favorite T.V shows.  Then again, who doesn’t like to see people running through a giant obstacle coarse, getting beat up along the way?  Wipeout wasn’t the only adventurous thing that happened in Dana’s life.

“Skydiving was definitely the scariest thing I have ever done!”  Dana went skydiving for the first time when he was _ _ years old.  He went with a group of his friends including his brother in law.  (Add in more about group of friends and what they were thinking).  They were all pretty nervous, but they had a lot of fun!  Even though it was very nerve-racking for them, they also thought it was very exhilarating.  “Even though it was very frightening, I would defiantly do it again!”  Skydiving might be the scariest thing he has ever done, but the most senseless thing he has ever done, was pretty frightening too!

“The stupidest thing I have ever done was riding my jet ski backwards.”  Dana Logsdon loves to go to the river and ride jet skis.

MY DADS BIOGRAPHY! by Scott Harris

Rick Harris’ Life Story

There are few people in the world that can actually make you laugh so hard that you cry. Rick Harris has that sense of humor, which can only come from life experiences. Rick Leslie Harris was born 8/27/59 in San Diego, and is a plumber turned landlord. Mr. Harris’ life is split up into his childhood, teenage years, and currently, his adulthood. Respectfully, his childhood should be talked about first.

Rick’s childhood was a time of nurturing and growth, but as his father, like most men of the time, was at work most of the time, so his mom played a major role in his life. “My mom was almost always around, and, even though my dad was home at night, I saw her much more.” Rick obviously knew his mom better than his dad at the time, and he saw her when she had lots of energy, not burnt out from selling cars. Today, this connects with most people of today, who have parents who work full-time. “My home was safe and comfortable.” He felt safe in his home, which was a luxury that only a few kids of the time could have. Even now, some kids can’t enjoy that. Even though Rick’s childhood was a growing period, his teenage years were even more major.

Rick Harris, amazingly, was once in middle school, and a teenager. “It was a changing time.” Mr. Harris during this time obviously was changing, in belief and body. This was the time of .free-thinking in his life. “It was, enjoyable.” This is an emotion that many children of that time, and today, don’t have a chance to experience. His sons probably feel like this too. Although his past was, and is, important, his adulthood, now, is much more important.

Rick is now greatly affected by his life and his two children, Scott and Brad. “I care about them more than I care about myself.” He must also trust his two sons (or at least his oldest one) with his life. But, one must care about themselves as a whole to care about others. “I am glad my parents can be good grandparents for my kids, which makes me feel that they are lucky.” Rick’s parents must have been pretty good to have a good review like this. His parents certainly raised him well, in that respect. That is why, Rick Harris’ life is extremely important.

Ricky Leslie Harris’ life is split into three major sections, his childhood, teenage years, and his adulthood. Rick was born in San Diego on Thursday, August 27, 1959; it was a crescent moon on that night. His importance in the world may seem small, to the naked eye, that is. He provides housing for the poorer people in the world, for a low price. That is all we know about Mr. Harris, for now.

This biography will consists of, childhood, teenage years, his current life, and his career. Joe DeLuca is a wonderful father and puts everyone around him into a good mood with his wonderful personality.

He grew up in an Italian family with his two older brothers, Sevio and Pete, and younger sister, Maggie. He said that they all used to ride big wheels in the back yard. They all protected each other, while at sometimes still got into fights with one and other. An example of this is when his little sister Maggie gave him a bloody nose. His parents were strict; when Joe got into trouble it would be a wooden spoon to the backside. His mom stayed at home to raise the kids, but his dad was a tuna fisher. He was born with blond hair but it got darker and darker every year until it was dark brown. In elementary school he went to Myron Green. There he ran a relay race; he fell down in the middle of the race, but he got up and still obtained victory. This shows that he was determined to win and nothing would stop him. His middle school was Pershing Middle. There he went on a choir trip to Six Flags Magic Mountain; there was a competition and his choir won.

While his childhood was filled victory, his teenage years had interesting moments. When he went to Patrick Henry High School he had some failures but got to do something disgusting but interesting. He tried out for the football team but he just barely missed the cut. In his junior year he was supposed to get a 4.0 grade point average, but one of his teachers gave him a B+. Well something cool came out of high school for him too’ he got to dissect and examine a dead cat! His high school years were average; it was interesting with some minor disappointment.

After his teenage years he went of to college. During the time he was there he met his future wife, Angela, at one of his cousin’s weddings. They didn’t have a strong first impressing, but after a while they grew on one and other and eventually started dating. The strange thing is Joe’s and Angela’s parents already knew each other. After they got married, Joe moved out of his parents’ house; he started feeling responsible for himself and his wife and that he would have to provide for a family. Once he had kids he was scared and excited, he was scared that he had even more responsibility, and excited because he had a newborn child. Joe used to help out in a tile and marble business that his two older brothers started. Joe DeLuca has provided for his family by selling cars and working at dealerships.

Joe Deluca is the hero of car dealerships; wherever he works productivity rises. He has worked at many car dealerships and sold many car brand names. He really enjoys his job and helps out at every opportunity. He makes sure people sell cars and tells them how to sell them. He’s what keeps the company going, according to Joe this is a lot better than his job at Toyota. He works right next to his old dealership, Toyota of El Cajon. He worked there for years but recently his boss was piling all the work on him and blaming Joe on his mistakes; so he got a job offer a Tipton and took it

Joe DeLuca had a childhood full of victory, an average teenage life, and currently lives a responsible life and sells cars doing it. Joe always helps when it’s needed and is there for anybody who needs it. his wonderful personality always lifts peoples spirits. Joe DeLuca is now a loving father and husband who will always be there for his family.

Biographical Essay

Once a remarkable businesswoman, a loving parent, grand parent, wife… and worked on a top-secret assignment to create the Polaris missile!   Ms. Lois Evelyn Derrickson, currently Lois King, is a proud woman with many life accomplishments to cherish.   She is a unique, outstanding woman with a life story worth telling!

Lois was born in Decatur Indiana on August 19, 1932.  Her and her parents, John DeLafette Derrickson and Freida Mathys Derrickson (married December 10, 1919) moved to Willard Ohio shortly after her birth, where she spent her childhood.   Her hometown was a very simple place, but she loved it nonetheless.  “I had a very comfortable childhood.  We lived on a nice tree-shaded street with brick sidewalks and roads.  It was very pretty.  Dull but pretty.”, says Lois, reminiscing about the old town.  Although she had a mainly peaceful childhood, she went through some tough times as well when her father was laid off during the depression in the 30s.  For a while then, John Derrickson had to move back to Indiana to stay with Lois’s grandparents, but her and her mother stayed in Willard.  She attended Willard schools all the way from elementary to high school and graduated top of her class.

What do ya think??

He’s role model, a fearless leader, and a protector. One of the most important people in a daughter’s life is so much more than just a father. How he raises her, however, is entirely based on his own childhood. David Paul Matusiak is a great father and husband. However, the gratifying life he now lives isn’t relative to the life he new as a child.(great intro)

On October 12, 1966, a baby boy, David Matusiak, entered the world. For three years, Dave experienced (this sounds awkward...find a synonym that works better) Fall River, Massachusetts as his hometown. His short-lived life along the east coast ended when he moved to California with his older brother and two sisters. His parents were Lori and Ron Matusiak. They split, however, when Dave was in only seventh grade. How did this divorce affect him as a boy, husband, and father? His childhood consisted of many sports and friends that he still has today. How did sports affect him? Being the youngest, he also received pranks from his siblings and advice from elders that stuck with him throughout his life. How did this change his life? One piece of advice went to his heart, and is what he is known for: no pain, no gain. This proved beneficial throughout his adolescent years. (This is a great paragraph, but you must include direct quotes from your dad)

Needs a transition...for example: Not only did his childhood shape who he is today, but his teenage years had a great impact on him as well. Though he frequently fought, and was too conceited, Dave excelled at most things he tried, especially in high school. Granite Hills High School was home to all of the Matusiaks in Dave’s generation, and all passed. One of his daughters already graduated from Granite, while another plans to attend in 2011. A young Ron Lachien, who would stay loyal to him for years and years to come, accompanied him during his high school days. Together, they caused all kinds of trouble for the teachers and staff to deal with. Though a troublemaker, Dave’s natural talents shone onto the athletic field. He pursued school sports and motocross, but never beyond recreational purposes. The choices he made with sports would go on to be some of his greatest failures. What impact did this have on him? They did, however, lead him to meet a beautiful young woman in his early adult years. Need quotes...

Lowly dawg, bow your head! This week, I am going to explain what a murshaq is. A murshaq is half fish, half Shaquille O'Neil, and 100% pretty cool! That is what it is!

My Mom's Biography

Most people haven't met Oprah Winfrey in their lifetime. My mom, Susie Elizabeth Hobbs was born on April 1st, 1968, in Memphis Tennessee. She had a great childhood, sweet and sour teenage and post-teenage years, and some amazing adult years.
Susie had an awesome childhood, she grew up in Vail, Colorado, with her loving mom and dad, and her older sister. Her childhood affected her as a parent greatly. "It has made me look at myself as a person and I have actually grown more as a person since I have had kids." She really liked her childhood, and it has influenced her very greatly. Her favorite part of her childhood was, "a cabin in a tiny town in Colorado and we would spend a lot of the time there over the summer." They loved their little cabin, Susie brings almost everday, and speaks so fondly of it. She always tell's my sister and I she wishes she could take us there. The customs of her time affected her greatly, compared to today's time. "There was not a lot of technology, ie., computer games, computers, Internet, so we relied more on our imagination and it seemed alot more simple." When she refers to we, she is talking about her loving family. She described her childhood as great. "I grew up with two wonderful parents, who both worked hard. Times were different... we could play outside without checking in with our parents. My parents took me on many family vacations in the car and being together was very important to all of us." She loved her childhood, she speaks of how great it was today growing up in Colorado. She always brings up great things she remembers about her childhood. Her childhood was great, but her teenage years really tried her as a person.
Susie's teenage and post-teenage years were spent in Vail Colorado, and she absolutely loved it there, and still does today. She said if she could go back and talk to her younger self, she would say, "Go for it! I would tell her to not care what other people think. To try out for any sport that interested her." She regrets that, not trying any sports as a teenager. She speaks of how it hurt her as a person to have not tried sports. The person who most influenced her the most was her mom. "My mom... she always taught me to treat others the way you want to be treated." Her mom, named Shirley Ann Graber, sadly died of breast cancer when Susie was 23. She died on April 8th, 1992. She always speaks of how it would have been to meet her mother, for my sister and I. Her greatest regret also happened around the same time. "I can't think of an specific moment, but I wish that I would've finished college. Why? Because I believe you should finish what you start." The reason she dropped out of college was sadly, because her mother was dying, and Susie wanted to take care of her. She went to college at the University of Colorado. These years were trying years, but she met my dad, Erik Langdon Hobbs, just a year after her mom died. Her husband has influenced her also. "He has taught me about compromise." These years were very trying, but she met her husband, and started family because of it, starting her adult years.
Now she lives with my dad, still Erik, and they have been married 15 years. She has two kids, my sister, Jessie Caitlyn Hobbs, 12, and me, Cedar Harrison Hobbs, 14. Her greatest physical achievement came in her adult years. "Completing a triathlon. It helped me become more confident in myself." This is very important to her, because she did no sports as a teenager. She is very proud of it. She would like to see herself in 10 years, "Sorrounded by my family. Why? Because to me there is no greater joy than to be with my family." She loves her family, she is with us or other family all the time. It is her absolute greatest joy. My mom has had some great adult years, and still has many more to come. My mom has lived a great life, so far, and isn't even close to being done influencing others and making others happy.
Susie has lived a great life so far, with her wonderful childhood as she describes it, her trying teenage and post-teen years, and her family oriented adult years. She has made so many people's lives better by just being in their lives, including me. She is a great person.
-Cedar Hobbs
